Linebacker will be a source for the Steelers to target in the NFL draft

Bringing in some further help to the linebackers on this team should be a need that will likely be addressed in the draft. The Steelers got lucky in this instance as they were able to get prospects to fall to them late on day two and early on day three of the event. They were also able to talk one of the premiere edge rushers in the XFL to sign onto their roster.

Outside linebacker (4): T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Zach Harrison, Trent Harris

Bud Dupree just signed with the Atlanta Falcons, so that backup plan for the Steelers is now gone. That cements them taking an edge rusher in the upcoming draft and they get a solid prospect in the fourth round with Zach Harrison. He can sit behind the starters and play a small role while also sharing that with Trent Harris. He has been lighting up the XFL all season and would be a tremendous depth piece for this team.

Inside linebacker (6): Cole Holcomb, Elandon Roberts, Daiyan Henley, Mark Robinson, Tanner Muse

Big additions in free agency already happened, but the black and gold could not ignore selecting Daiyan Henley in the third round. He can come onto the field on coverage downs and allow for either Cole Holcomb or Elandon Roberts off the field. Mark Robinson and Tanner Muse make the team as both have some starting experience and provide snaps on special teams as well.
