A surprising name sticks in Steelers final roster prediction

Running Back (3):
Steelers roster prediction: Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, Anthony McFarland
Another group that appears to be set in stone. While the final roster could look slightly different (more on that below), there is no viable in-house name that makes sense over the current crop of running backs. For at least the initial roster, this is likely the trio.
Najee Harris is primed for his best season as a professional. He is running behind a competent line and this offense has been built around him and the running game this offseason. While I personally believe that he still needs to work on his efficiency, I am expecting big things from Harris.
The same could be said for Warren. While he entered camp firmly as the top backup, it became clear early on that he was going to have a bigger impact than many thought. Add in his strong showing in each preseason game, and I view Warren and Harris as co-starters in this offense as opposed to a starter and a backup.
Anthony McFarland did everything he needed to do as an offensive weapon. He was a productive third back and showed some speed in practice and in games. His value on special teams is up in the air, but there isn’t anyone on this roster right now who can compete with McFarland.
Potential surprise cut: McFarland
In that same breath, McFarland could be shuffled off the roster after cutdowns. That lack of special teams value is a sticking point, so if a back that can play on teams becomes available, McFarland could be out. The Steelers have also experimented with Connor Heyward in the backfield, which is something else to note.
