The 2024 NFL Draft is upon us. Over the next three days, hardcore Pittsburgh Steelers fans will be glued to their sofas as they anxiously wait to see how the draft unfolds.

Last year was the first draft of the new regime in the front office. Omar Khan and assistant GM Andy Weidl gave fans a great deal of confidence after loading up on talent all over the board with players like Broderick Jones, Joey Porter Jr., Keeanu Benton, Darnell Washington, Nick Herbig, and Cory Trice.

While it may not be reasonable to expect such an impressive draft haul in 2024, the Steelers do have some additional capital to work with on Day 2 in a loaded draft. Here's a look at every draft selection Pittsburgh owns in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2024 draft picks

  • Round 1, No. 20 overall
  • Round 2, No. 51 overall
  • Round 3, No. 84 overall
  • Round 3, No. 98 overall (via PHI)
  • Round 4, No. 119 overall
  • Round 6, No. 178 overall (via ARI)
  • Round 6, No. 195 overall

It's important to note that the Steelers are not guaranteed to make all of these picks, as trades frequently occur during the NFL Draft. In Khan's first draft as general manager in 2023, he traded up three spots in the first round for Broderick Jones and traded back in the third round to recoup a fourth-round pick.

While it's probably a safe bet to assume the Steelers will stay put, we can't rule out the possibility of a trade.

Pittsburgh is set to make their first pick at 20 overall in the first round. The last time the Steelers held the 20th overall pick, they selected QB Kenny Pickett in Round 1. Before that, it was 2019, and they used pick No. 20 to trade up for Devin Bush. Let's hope it goes better this time around.

On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the Steelers will have impressive draft capital to work with, and they were able to turn the Pickett trade into a pick-swap that saw Pittsburgh landing Philadelphia's compensatory third-round pick.

The Steelers are also without their fifth-round and seventh-round pick this year, but they do have two selections in Round 6 as well as a quality pick in Round 4 that could help them put an exclamation point on their 2024 draft class.
