The Steelers defense held the line to secure victory against the Buccaneers

So, I would say that it was tough the evaluate the play of the defense as many of our starters did not play, but I think it's fair to say that we may have found a legitimate third OLB in Nick Herbig, who, according to ESPN, had one and a half sacks and two QB hits.

What was really encouraging to me was the fact that Herbig was going up against the starters on the offensive line for the Buccaneers for most, if not all, of his snaps. That is a good sign as we need quality depth behind T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith.

The fourth quarter was a little rough for the defense as we surrendered ten points, but I think that was more a function of what we were calling versus how we were playing, but, honestly, I would have liked to have seen us not give up anything considering we did not score any points on offense in the fourth quarter.

Let's see what else we learned.
