The Pittsburgh Steelers' offense has been...questionable to put in nicely over the last five seasons. They haven't finished as an above-average offense since 2020, and even that year ended with the offense sputtering down the stretch.
There is plenty of blame to go around for why they have struggled. Coaching, talent, losing quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, overall mentality as an organization, etc. Whatever reason you want to give doesn't ultimately matter, what matters is how they can start to turn things around.
As things stand, the Steelers only have a few core players on offense that they can rely on. With OTAs starting this week, here are the Steelers 5 best offensive players on the 2025 roster.
Ranking the Pittsburgh Steelers' top offensive players heading into offseason workouts
5. Isaac Seumalo, G
You could make an argument for several players in this spot, but Seumalo gets the nod thanks to his experience and consistency. Seumalo is now the only true veteran along the Steelers offensive line, and his presence will be key to helping the young guys develop.
The former Philadelphia Eagle joined the Steelers in 2023, immediately helping fortify a unit that desperately needed it. He has started 32 of 36 possible games, including the playoffs, and has been a solid starter at left guard for a modest $8 million per year.
He may not be one of the best guards in the NFL, but he would be an upgrade for plenty of teams around the league.
4. Pat Freiermuth, TE
Pat Freiermuth has had his ups and downs since being selected by the Steelers in the second round back in 2021. He was productive right out of the gate, with 60 receptions and seven touchdowns as a rookie. He followed that up with a 732-yard performance in 2022, 7th-most among tight ends.
His 2023 season was unfortunately plagued by injuries, missing five games and finishing with just 308 yards. That didn't faze the Steelers, however, who signed him to a four-year, $48.4 million extension before the 2024 season.
Freiermuth returned to form in 2024, putting up 668 yards and seven touchdowns. He may never be an elite player, but he is a reliable weapon for whoever the Steelers quarterback is in 2025.
3. Jaylen Warren, RB
Some may be surprised to see Jaylen Warren this high on my rankings, especially with third-round pick Kaleb Johnson expected to compete for the Steelers' starting running back job. He may not be an every-down back (or at least hasn't had to be one), but Warren is one of the most explosive backs in the league on a per-play basis.

His 4.8 yards per carry for his career is one of the best marks in the NFL since he joined the team in 2022. He has been very effective as a receiver as well, with 127 career receptions. He is a tough runner, but has enough speed and elusiveness to be a force in the open field.
Whether or not he becomes the Steelers' lead back in 2025, Warren will be one of their most reliable playmakers when he is on the field.
2. D.K. Metcalf, WR
The Steelers' big offseason acquisition lands in my No. 2 spot. D.K. Metcalf is now the unquestioned top playmaker on the Steelers, especially after trading away George Pickens. The former Seattle Seahawk has been a consistent producer over his six-year career, with 6,324 yards and 48 touchdowns.
While his four-year, $132 million extension is a major overpay in my opinion, his talent is undeniable. The Steelers want their passing game to be more dynamic down the field, and few players offer more in that department.
I do still question the move considering the situation at QB, but he is a great player who should help raise the ceiling of the offense in 2025.
1. Zach Frazier, C
I know he has only played in 15 regular-season games, but second-year center Zach Frazier is already the Steelers' best offensive player. The rookie center was sensational in 2024, playing at a Pro Bowl level for Pittsburgh right away.
He was a force in the run game in particular, opening holes for Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. The Steelers were much more efficient running through the A and B gaps for a reason.
Frazier has the potential to be one of the best centers in the NFL, and you could easily make the argument that he was already in the top five as a rookie. He doesn't have the experience that the rest of the players ranked here have, but he is already the best relative to his peers.
