Now that the Steelers found another way to lose disastrously against a top NFL team, many around Pittsburgh have slight worry. Their Week 15 loss extended their losing ways in Philadelphia which now carries over more than half a decade. This loss proves that Mike Tomlin's team is not ready for the top teams in the NFL right now, but it doesn't mean they are terrible either.
Pittsburgh wants post-season success. If their favorite football club can stay on their current path with a cleaner bill of health than what they had against the Eagles, they will be ok. They might not be at the level of the Eagles just yet, but they could form into that within the coming weeks.
There is no easy path to glory, but they could use some help along the way.
Mock trade! Steelers accepts a deal to move back with the Giants
Night one of the mock draft finally gets to Pittsburgh's pick and they get a call from New York. The Giants want to move up late in the round to take a player they like. The Steelers know they have an early second-round choice and are game for talks. They pry a move back of seven spots and add an extra fourth-round pick to their arsenal in this simulation.
Steelers mock draft round 2: Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
After the move back with the Giants, the Steelers shock the fan base by taking a running back. They go with Kaleb Johnson out of Iowa. He burst onto the scene this season and is rising draft boards right now. Johnson was a key piece in the Hawkeyes offense this year, and many struggled to contain him. We will see what happens with Najee Harris this offseason, but he will want a lot of money.
Steelers mock draft round 2: Alfred Collins, DT, Texas
Some might compare Alfred Collins to Keeanu Benton to some degree. The Steelers love Benton, and they will probably fall in love with Collins going through the pre-draft process. He has great size for the position and has shown the ability to take on multiple blockers. Much like Benton coming out of college, Collins needs to improve his pass-rush ability when he gets to the pro level.

Steelers mock draft round 3: Mello Dotson, CB, Kansas
First off, what a fantastic name for a defensive back going into the draft. Pittsburgh takes Ra'Mello (Mello) Dotson to wrap up the second day of this mock draft. He has been highly productive in terms of interceptions throughout his career. He has nine in the past two seasons, with four of those returned for touchdowns. He has great size for the position and is not afraid to make a tackle.
Trade! Pittsburgh makes a splash trade with the retooling LA Rams
It took much longer than fans would have liked, but the Steelers finally made a splash at receiver. They were rumored to have interest in Cooper Kupp before the trade deadline, but the Rams weren't willing to move him at that point. Pittsburgh finally gets the Rams to accept a deal that sends an early fourth-round pick (from the Giants) and a fifth-round pick in the following draft to land a star player.
Steelers mock draft round 4: Tai Felton, WR, Maryland
A bit surprising to go with a receiver in this mock draft after adding Kupp, but don't be shocked if they double-dip at the position. Mike Tomlin is going to love Tai Felton, and not just because he is a Maryland product. Felton has shown steady signs of progression throughout his career, even though Maryland has not had the best record during his time there. He would be a tremendous addition.
Steelers mock draft round 5: Emery Jones Jr., OT, LSU
With Dan Moore Jr. leaving in free agency, who knows which side Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu will land with? Either way, they still need a swing tackle to bring onto the roster. They take Emery Jones Jr. in this mock draft. He hasn't played much left tackle at LSU, but he has a lot of starting experience on the right side and has also played some snaps at guard.
Steelers mock draft round 7: Kyle McCord, QB, Syracuse
Most remember him from his time starting at Ohio State last year, but he tried to prove himself by transferring to Syracuse this season. He didn't do many horrible things this year, but he also didn't do himself many favors in terms of draft stock. His numbers saw an uptick in production, but the number of interceptions he has thrown this season is concerning.
Steelers mock draft round 7: Shilo Sanders, S, Colorado
Everyone is looking at Shedeur Sanders (his brother) for this draft, but Shilo Sanders will also be involved. Tomlin would love to add one of Deion Sanders' children to his team, and Shilo Sanders makes sense. He is not a high-profile prospect, but he is worth the gamble here. He can play in the slot and different positions in the secondary. That will be worth the gamble for the Steelers.
