Steelers Inactive List for Week 8 game vs. Giants
The Steelers head into tonight's contest against the Giants with an injury report featuring many familiar names. Nonetheless, missing some of these depth pieces is a mild cause for concern.
For example, the Steelers have been missing the depth behind TJ Watt at outside linebacker for several weeks, even with Alex Highsmith returning to the lineup. Watt's snap count percentages are high compared to his typical participation to this point in the season and the injuries are a large reason for that.
In the same vein, the offense would like to see Cordarrelle Patterson and Zach Frazier back in the lineup. The BYE Week comes after this contest, so a win against the Giants despite the injuries could pay huge dividends for Pittsburgh.

Offensive Impacts
The Steelers will again turn to Ryan McCollum in place of Zach Frazier. Frazier is expected to return after the BYE Week. McCollum will have his work cut out for him with NFL Sack-leader Dexter Lawrence often lining up within his vicinity.
Cordarrelle Patterson is also still out nursing his own ankle injury. His loss doesn't stink quite as much since Najee Harris has put up back-to-back 100-yard performances and Jaylen Warren continues to return to form. Nonetheless, his potential return after the BYE Week will be welcomed.
In related news, Roman Wilson is off the inactive list... because he's now on injured reserve. Wilson will be out for the next four weeks at minimum after a hamstring injury became the latest hurdle for the rookie to get back on the field.
Defensive Impacts
Nick Herbig remains out with a hamstring injury, prolonging the defense from having a healthy rotation on the edge. Jeremiah Moon will pick up some more reps this week to help keep TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith fresh.
Tyler Matekavich is out, which could impact some Special Teams units. Thankfully, there is still plenty of depth at inside backer with him inactive.

What To Know
Much like the Jets last week, the Giants are banged up in the secondary, primarily at cornerback. Russell Wilson doesn't have the most impressive supporting cast, but he should be able to take advantage just as he did last week.
