It's been a frustrating season for the Pittsburgh Steelers when it comes to the health of their edge rushers. Nick Herbig has missed time, DeMarvin Leal was lost for the season and Alex Highsmith hasn't been able to catch a break.
Highsmith has been active for six of the Steelers' nine games and has just three sacks as we cross the halfway point of the 2024 season. After returning from a hamstring injury, he sprained his ankle while tackling Jayden Daniels in last week's win.
Now the Steelers face the ever-dangerous Lamar Jackson and the explosive Baltimore Ravens offense without Highsmith in the lineup. Thankfully, Herbig returns to action and the acquired Preston Smith will mix into the rotation.
Overall, the Steelers should feel largely comfortable about the health of the roster. Still, missing a key piece in a rivalry game is far from insignificant.

Offenseive Impacts
Jaylen Warren will suit up for today's game, but fans should expect him to be somewhat limited as he deals with a back injury. Warren was held out of practice on Thursday and was only a limited participant on Friday. Cordarrelle Patterson can likely expect a few extra touches behind Najee Harris against the Ravens.
MyCole Pruitt is out, though he's missed quite a bit of the season with a lingering knee injury. The Steelers have plenty of tight end depth to overcome his absence.
Defensive Impacts
As discussed above, the Steelers will be without Alex Highsmith, which will be problematic even with good faith in Herbig and Smith in relief.
The defensive backfield depth isn't overly affected by CJ Henderson and Cory Trice being out for this contest. Henderson has yet to get a helmet since joining the team last month and is headed to Injured Reserve. Trice hasn't been active since Week 3 after landing on short-term IR.

What to Know
The Ravens are mostly healthy, though the absence of Arthur Maulet is notable considering his previous stint with Pittsburgh. He's been effective against his former team in past matchups since landing in Baltimore.
Kyle Hamilton will be worth monitoring during the contest. He logged a full practice on Friday, but was limited on Thursday and out Wednesday. His ankle injury could impact him throughout the contest, possibly making him a touch less dangerous than usual.
