For Pittsburgh Steelers fans wanting the team to take the gamble and go get quarterback Shedeur Sanders on draft night, they'll be happy to know the latest development regarding the Colorado product.

Going into the 2025 NFL Draft, there were so many narratives being built around Sanders, both positive and negative.

The negative narratives are startling, to say the least. They'll cause fans to raise an eyebrow or two. From some whispers alluding to Sanders being one of the "worst interviews" to other opinions stating they simply don't think he's that good, we're looking at maybe the most polarizing prospect in this class.

And on draft day, NFL insider Jordan Schultz provided yet another update. This time, it was from an NFL executive.

NFL executive points Steelers squarely toward Shedeur Sanders

“The anonymous negative quotes that pop up every year? Total garbage. If you’ve got something to say, put your name on it or keep it in-house. Every team has access to similar intel — nobody’s dumb enough to read a tweet and suddenly pull a guy off their board," the executive said via Schultz.

He went on to say that these negative reports seem to be all for clout; all in the name of watching a prospect completely torpedo on draft night.

The report, via Schultz, also came with a graphic of Sanders to no one's surprise.

If this isn't the ultimate sign for Pittsburgh to say "enough is enough" and opt to go all-in, I'm not sure what is. Pittsburgh may have no better option, this season, than someone like Sanders coming in and competing with Mason Rudolph.

The Aaron Rodgers saga is getting old. Kirk Cousins may or may not be traded. The organization needs direction. A decision needs to be made.

So, at this stage, why not take the gamble on a prospect who has all the confidence in the world and, for better or worse, could change the face of the franchise?

Pittsburgh has not gotten the position right since the departure of Ben Roethlisberger. Mike Tomlin is viewed as being on his last leg from some fans' point of view. This is an organization that needs something big, and going with Sanders would certainly count.
