Dianna Russini is sending out new speculation surrounding the Steeler's potential plans before the trade deadline on November 5. It seems obvious that Pittsburgh is doing its best to acquire a receiver. Many names have been thrown out there, but Russini's new set of names packs some freshness. She mentioned a handful of names, which included a couple of new options.

“I think the Steelers are trying to do something. Why don't I rip through some of the receivers that the Steelers could possibly look at -- let's just say they have a board. I don't think they have a board, but let's say they have a board. Darius Slayton, Diontae Johnson, Christian Kirk, DeMarcus Robinson, KJ Osborn, Tyquan Thornton, Kendrick Bourne,” said Russini.

She appeared on the "Scoop City" podcast on October 25. That is where she made some claims about the Steeler's trade activity leading up to the trade deadline. We know Pittsburgh hasn't shied away from attacking different trade options in the past, and it seems like they could continue that trend. They want an upgrade at receiver, and it seems like no leaf will be left unturned in their search.

Some new receivers pop up in Steelers latest trade speculation

Darius Slayton

He might not be a new name to the Steelers trade speculation, but Darius Slayton makes a ton of sense. He shouldn't cost much in terms of assets, and he provides some flexibility to the position. He has been producing well in a rather stagnant offense. Pittsburgh could use a veteran option to upgrade with, and Slayton could be a terrific solution if the black and gold can't land a star.

DeMarcus Robinson

Fans hope that they can land Cooper Kupp, but the Rams might be more willing to sell off someone like DeMarcus Robinson instead. To be blunt, adding Robinson would not fix the Steeler's issues at receiver. Unless he unlocks something extra in Pittsburgh, this would bring another player to a room full of the same brand. He has never produced much in the NFL, so hopefully, Pittsburgh has a better solution in mind.

K.J. Osborn

Things are in disarray in New England, and it seems like the Patriots could sell off some pieces before the trade deadline. The Steelers could show interest in their receivers, with one of them being K.J. Osborn. He was a solid receiver with the Vikings, but he hasn't produced much of anything this season with the Patriots. He is a slot guy, but it seems like Pittsburgh needs someone on the outside.

Tyquan Thorton

Does Tyquan Thorton have any development left in the tank? He is a former second-round pick back in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has solid size, but he has never produced anything of substance in the NFL. Thorton has been as close to a draft bust as possible at the moment. Pittsburgh should be searching for legit upgrades and not receivers who could eventually develop into a starting player.

Kendrick Bourne

Another depth option the Steelers could target on the Patriots if they want to go bargain shopping is Kendrick Bourne. Again, he is not the type of player they should be targeting. He would be cheap to acquire in a trade, but he hasn't produced successfully in a couple of seasons. Bourne might be better than the two Patriots listed above, but he would also be a disappointment if that's all the Steelers can accomplish.
