Steelers vs. Browns picks: Still Curtain predicts revenge victory forthcoming
The Steelers prepare to face off against the Browns for the second time in only 17 days. It was an ugly game for the black and gold last time that saw them slip, which is ironic given the amount of snow accumulated in the second half of that battle. Cleveland was more prepared, and they took advantage of a Steelers team that didn't take them seriously enough last time.
Things should be different for these two in their Week 14 matchup. They will play in Pittsburgh, which should help the Steelers with a home crowd behind them. They cannot lose to the Browns twice in a season. Another factor going against the Browns in this game is rest. Pittsburgh had an extra day and a half of rest since Cleveland played in Denver on Monday Night Football.
Another quick note, the Steelers are not coming off of as big of a win as last time with a quick turnaround. They seemed to be caught off guard since they beat the Ravens going into their last contest against Cleveland. We will see what happens, but the black and gold should be highly favored when it comes to picks and predictions for their Week 14 fight against another AFC North foe.
Still Curtain Expert panel predictions provide hope for Steelers
"Coming off an incredible victory versus the Cincinnati Bengals on the road, the Steelers will look to maintain a slim lead in the AFC North when we host the Cleveland Browns. Final score prediction of what we will prove to be a revenge game." - Eric C Hassel (Steelers 24-17)
"Pittsburgh comes off a shootout win that they likely wouldn't have gotten if this were any of the previous 3 seasons. They now have a chance to right their wrong of losing to Cleveland in week 12. They come out at home and continue the offensive success from last week to "get their get back" on the Browns." - Brandon Kring (Steelers 31-13)
"The Browns pulled one over the Steelers the first time around on Thursday Night Football, but you can bet Pittsburgh isn't getting swept by the least competitive rival in their division. With nine losses on the season, the Browns are (for all intents and purposes) eliminated from making a playoff push. Mike Tomlin's team will drive the final nail in the coffin of Cleveland's 2024 season." - Tommy Jaggi (Steelers 26-18)
"I want to predict a Steelers blowout, but I don't think the Browns are that bad, so a revenge game is off the table. That said, I do think Pittsburgh can build off last week and find a way to win this week." - Andrew Falce (Steelers 30-23)
Final prediction has Steelers figuring out offense gets them wins
Score Prediction: Steelers 27, Browns 23
Many would normally be concerned with the number of experts picking the Steelers in this game, as history has taught us bad things normally happen in those circumstances. It certainly had a bad feel to it when the Browns and Steelers faced off in Week 12. Something seems different this time around, and there is a sense of optimism in Pittsburgh for their favorite football club to get revenge.
Russell Wilson and the black and gold's offense was clicking on all cylinders against the Bengals. They started to show promise when they played Cleveland previously too. Perhaps they are turning a corner, but they need to provide protection against Myles Garrett and company this time around. The Steeler's offensive attack is potent right now, and they should be able to outscore Cleveland.

When it comes to Pittsburgh's defense, they played a respectable game last time these two faced off, besides a late-game touchdown. They just need to tighten things up against a Browns offense that has started to show sparks since Jameis Winston took over at quarterback. It might not be pretty, but Pittsburgh has to create a couple of turnovers against a turnover-prone quarterback like Winston.
Despite the Steelers being the better team, they will probably still show some signs of struggle against the Browns. Instead of allowing Cleveland to take the lead late, the black and gold's defense will find a way to force Winston into a costly turnover. Pittsburgh better not lose to Cleveland twice in a season, or the city will never hear the end of the grumbles and gripes from the fans.
