Pittsburgh is coming off a huge bounce-back performance in Week 13 after putting up an offensive onslaught against the Bengals. Russell Wilson seemed to turn back the clock to a point where he produced one of the best outings of his career at the age of 36. The Steeler's chances couldn't be higher right now, even though they still have a grueling December to get through before the playoffs hit.

Mock drafts are normally invested into if a club is struggling throughout the season. Everyone is looking for hope and any potential future member of their favorite team. Pittsburgh might be in good shape this year, but they shouldn't completely look past mock drafts. Get to know some of the prospects now, because some talented players are coming out of college this spring.

Steelers mock draft round 1: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Shocking pick to kick off the first round of this Steelers mock draft after they take Shedeur Sanders. He surprisingly fell to them late in the top round of this simulation. Wilson might be playing quality football, but it would be foolish to not have a young quarterback on the roster to learn behind Wilson for a year or two before taking over. Mike Tomlin will love the family bloodlines that Sanders brings.

Steelers mock draft round 2: Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee

After a slow start to his collegiate career at Tennessee, Dylan Sampson got a shot to be the main guy this season. He has been fantastic and compiled an insane stat line for his final year before going into the NFL Draft. Sampson would be a perfect running back to replace Najee Harris, who will likely leave the Steelers in free agency. Sampson would be the lead back complimented by Jaylen Warren.

Steelers mock draft round 3: Jack Bech, WR, TCU

After a solid Freshman campaign with LSU, Josh Bech slipped some in his production. He finally caught on with TCU this season after transferring a year prior. He is someone who should see his draft stock improved during Senior Bowl week. The Steelers would love a receiver of his size to play on the outside. Pittsburgh needs a long-term answer this offseason opposite of George Pickens.

Steelers mock draft round 4: Simeon Barrow Jr., DT, Miami

With the Steelers starters along the defensive line only getting older, they need to invest into this position. Simeon Barrow Jr. is the pick at this point in the mock draft as he proves to be good value. He has been a continued project player, but he has shown steady growth. Pittsburgh will love his size, and his ability to progress as a player. He has also blocked some field goals during his collegiate play.

Steelers mock draft round 5: Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State

Ohio State likes to play an aggressive form of defense, which should help Denzel Burke transition well into the NFL. The Steelers take him here as they could use a boost with their depth at the cornerback position, especially with Donte Jackson as a pending free agent. Burke has a lot of starting experience and could become a solid contributor as a rookie if he needs to be called upon.

Steelers mock draft round 7: Anthony Belton, OT, North Carolina State

One of the best things you can bet on at this point in mock drafts is taking someone with a good work ethic. The Steelers take Anthony Belton here who has worked hard to get from JUCO to N.C. State and now as an NFL hopeful. Pittsburgh needs to bring in some sort of competition for their swing tackle role. Belton hasn't played much right tackle, but he has been a solid piece on the left side.

Steelers mock draft round 7: Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon

Tez Johnson was adopted by Bo Nix's family, so he has an interesting story behind him. The Steelers could use some extra hands at the receiver spot, and Johnson is great value. He has a lightweight frame, but he has produced quality numbers throughout his college career. Pittsburgh takes him to fight for a spot on the roster, and he should be able to impress coaches in the preseason.
