The day is finally upon us!

The biggest event of the spring for the NFL is here – the opening round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

The NFL is in Chicago this year, a change after so many years at Radio City in NYC. It will be interesting to see how the NFL presents this draft and how the city of Chicago receives it.

If you can’t make it to Chi-town, then here’s all you need to know about when and how to catch your favorite team’s selection and the other 31 teams in the NFL.

Round One: Thursday, April 30th, 7PM CST Start

As with years prior, fans who cannot attend in person will be able to watch by way of the NFL Network or ESPN. Those who somehow enjoy Berman and Kiper can switch to ESPN, while the rest can listen to Eisen’s cool demeanor and Mayock break down each pick over on the NFLN.

Each team will have a ten minute time period in which they can either make a selection or make a trade with another team. Once the pick or decision is in… well you know how the rest works. Thus commences the boing at the ginger guy standing at the podium.

ESPN and NFLN have stood firm on their stances that they will continue to not reveal the pick prior to Rodger Goodell’s announcement – one of the best improvements ever made to the draft.

The big question is – who will be the No.1 pick this year? The even bigger question – who will the cameras hover over the most: Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota? Even bigger than that – which one will be downing the Miller Lite a la Johnny Manziel?

Rounds Two and Three: Friday, May 1st, 6pm CST Start

Seven minutes per pick in the second round. Five minutes per pick in the third round. The flagship will switch over and use ESPN 2 for this evening while the NFL Network will continue to broadcast anything and everything that is the draft all day long leading up to and through the 6pm Central start time.

Rounds Four Through Seven: Saturday, May 2nd, 11am CST Start

The final four rounds are crammed into one long afternoon. Each team gets five minutes for their selections in rounds four through six. Rounds seven and any compensatory picks are four minutes.

Stream Or Mobile Device

So how does one catch this bad boy if you can’t make it to a TV?  Well, NFL.com will be streaming the draft live all three days. If you are on the go and can’t drag your laptop with you, then you’ll need to download the NFL Mobile App for the iOS or Android devices.

Lastly, HAVE FUN and ENJOY!
