It didn't take long for Aaron Rodgers to make history on his new team. Just three games into his Pittsburgh Steelers tenure, Rodgers reached another historic NFL milestone.

Early in the second quarter against the New England Patriots, Rodgers drove the Steelers' offense down the field and capped off a 12-play, 90-yard drive with a beautiful over-the-shoulder touchdown pass to DK Metcalf.

The drive by itself was impressive, but it ended in a historic milestone. With the touchdown pass to Metcalf, Rodgers now has 509 touchdown passes in his NFL career, passing former Green Bay Packers teammate and NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre (508).

Rodgers, a 21-year NFL veteran, already put together a Hall of Fame career before coming to Pittsburgh, but this just adds to his impressive resume.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got to watch Aaron Rodgers make history in Wek 3

Rodgers nearly hit this milestone last week against the Seattle Seahawks in his first-ever home game in Week 2. Now he finishes the job. Rodgers looked sharp in the first half before throwing a costly pick to the hands of former Steelers linebacker Robert Spillane on his opening drive of the third quarter.

Thankfully, the Steelers were able to hang on to secure the win, but it didn't come easy. Despite Pittsburgh's defense earning an interception and recovering four fumbles, Rodgers and company weren't able to capitalize until late in the game.

With 2:16 remaining in the fourth quarter, Rodgers helped secure a Steelers victory with a 17-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Calvin Austin to take a 21-14 lead. Rodgers' stat line was underwhelming at the end of the day, but he managed a second touchdown in a win, bringing his career total to 510 passing touchdowns.

Rodgers is now 29 touchdowns from tying NFL legend Peyton Manning for third on the NFL passing touchdown list. Moving into third place would be incredibly difficult if this proves to be his last season in the NFL.

Regardless of what happens from here, Aaron Rodgers just put the perfect stamp on his NFL resume with this incredible milestone.
