Steelers fans will love how badly the Browns got fleeced in Myles Garrett trade

Never change, Browns.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans are still on cloud nine now that Myles Garrett is officially on his way out of the AFC North. Gone are the days of having to square off against Garrett twice a year and having him wreak havoc on the Steelers' offensive line.

Making the trade even funnier is that the Browns didn't get as much back in the deal as one would think. According to Adam Schefter, in exchange for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year, the Browns received Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. That's it.

The Cleveland Browns completely botched the Myles Garrett trade (and Pittsburgh Steelers fans can only laugh)

Some might argue that Verse is essentially a first-round pick going back to Cleveland in this deal since he's a former first-round pick and has played well during his two years in the league. But the fact of the matter is that the Browns only got one true first-round pick in exchange for a two-time Defensive Player of the Year who had 23 sacks last year.

That's insane, and the Rams completely fleeced the Browns here.

To make matters even worse for Cleveland (but funnier for the Steelers) is that the pick the Browns do get for 2027 will likely be a late first-rounder. The Rams should be vying for a Super Bowl this year, as they do most years, and if they make the playoffs, that alone is already a pick in the second half of the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft.

Steelers fans were already excited about Garrett leaving the division, but after seeing what Cleveland got back in the deal, this just keeps getting better and better for Pittsburgh.

Hopefully, the Browns screw up with what little they did manage to land for Garrett. That would truly be the best-case scenario for Pittsburgh Steelers fans.
