Pre-draft visits are officially in the books. Wednesday was the last day for NFL teams to meet with prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and—just like we expected—the Pittsburgh Steelers found a way to use all 30 visits just in the nick of time.
Pittsburgh rounded out its visits with two in the closing hours, as the decision-makers met with Penn State quarterback Drew Allar and Arizona cornerback Treydan Stukes. These were hardly the most notable names on the list.
By my count, the Steelers used 30-visits on six players who could be considered first-round prospects: USC wide receiver Makai Lemon, Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston, Penn State guard Olaivavega Ioane, Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil Warren, and San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson.

Of the list, there are only three slam-dunk first-round candidates, based on my draft grades. Interestingly, the Steelers did not use pre-draft visits on potential first-round wide receiver prospects like Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson, Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr., or Texas A&M's KC Concepcion.
The Steelers also met with an assortment of second and third-round prospects. Some of the best players that Omar Khan could be targeting on Day 2 include Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard, Georgia Tech guard Keylan Rutledge, and Arizona defensive back Treydan Stukes.
In terms of third-to-fourth-round prospects, the Steelers leaned heavily into the quarterback position, meeting with players like Drew Allar, Cole Payton, Carson Beck, and Taylen Green. It feels likely that the team will throw a dart at the quarterback position late on Day 2 or early on Day 3.
Pittsburgh's pre-draft visits also suggest the Steelers have an interest in drafting big offensive tackles, like Markel Bell and Travis Burke, as well as tall, long cornerbacks, like Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock.
On Day 3, the Steelers seem to be eyeing players who fit their scheme well with depth at positions that could make the roster, like tight end, safety, and defensive line.
The Pittsburgh Steelers' 30 visits hardly detail exactly what Omar Khan and the front office intend to do in each round, but if historical trends hold true, this could be a subtle blueprint for the players and positions they will be eyeing over all three days of the 2026 NFL Draft.
