We are entering the slowest point of the NFL calendar year. As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue offseason training, fans anxiously count down the days until training camp begins.
Training camp is an excellent time to catch the Steelers in action on the practice field, free of charge, or to scour the web for information on how players are performing and find out who is in the driver's seat for the biggest positional battles on the team.

On July 28, all players are required to report for training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. There will be no practice on the first Tuesday of camp, but the Steelers media will be on hand to interview players upon arrival.
The following day, practices begin. However, July 29 to August 1 marks the 'acclimation' period. These are unpadded practices that help get players up to speed before contact sessions begin.
All practices listed on the Steelers training camp schedule are open to the public, except for the team's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on August 13.
Fans must have mobile tickets ready in advance to attend practice; tickets are available on the team website. Admission is free.
During practices, fans will get a chance to watch their favorite players take the field. They will also get a feel for the team's depth chart pecking order and how positional battles could unfold.
This year, all eyes are on the quarterback position, as Steelers fans are anxious to see who will be the odd man out of the group. We can also expect some interesting battles along the offensive line, after the Steelers drafted Max Iheanachor and Gennings Dunker in the first three rounds this year.
Parking is free for training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, but make sure you arrive early if you want bleacher seats. They'll go fast. In addition to watching the action on the practice fields, fans can try to snag autographs after practice wraps up.
