The 2025 NFL Draft is now in the rearview mirror as the Pittsburgh Steelers get ready for the preseason. The draft brought some quality players who should help boost the roster to new heights. Steelers general manager Omar Khan wasn't finished after making seven selections in the NFL Draft. He signed eight undrafted free agents to push for roster spots.

Making it to the NFL is not easy. Staying in the league is tougher. Not hearing your name called during the draft isn't the end of the world, but it makes your path to success more difficult. Undrafted free agents have a long, winding road to make the final 53-man roster, but it's not impossible.

Khan's additions during this part of the NFL Draft process could make for some interesting storylines at training camp.

Ranking the Pittsburgh Steelers' UDFA's most likely to make the 53-man roster

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Ben Sauls, K, Pittsburgh

Chris Boswell isn't going anywhere after proving he is one of the most reliable kickers in the NFL last year. Pittsburgh signed Ben Sauls as an undrafted free agent to provide insurance. He doesn't have a shot at making the team unless Boswell suffers a serious injury. Sauls was a quality kicker at Pitt and could earn a starting job elsewhere if he produces good numbers in the preseason.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Ke'Shawn Williams, WR, Indiana

The situation revolving around the Steelers and Cordarrelle Patterson is odd.

They brought in different returners to challenge for his roster spot, but none of them seemed imposing. Ke'Shawn Williams is a tiny slot receiver out of Indiana with limited production. Unless he catches fire as a returner, it'll be nearly impossible for him to land on the active roster come Week 1.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Blake Mangelson, DT, BYU

Blake Mangelson was a late addition to the Steelers' undrafted free-agent class. He is a terrific athlete from BYU. This defensive tackle has a lot of veterans and quality prospects sitting in front of him on the roster. Pittsburgh will probably keep seven defensive linemen at most, which means Mangelson will have to jump ahead of five or six players in front of him on the depth chart.

He could be a fantastic developmental prospect to store on the practice squad.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Roc Taylor, WR, Memphis

Pittsburgh prioritized signing Roc Taylor, as he was one of the first additions as an undrafted free agent. He is a big receiver who's his best attribute is his physicality. He isn't going to cause much separation, but he makes up for it at the point of the catch. Taylor has a better chance than Williams, but talented veterans are ahead of him on the depth chart.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: DJ Thomas-Jones, FB, South Alabama

Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith loves tight ends and fullbacks on his team.

DJ Thomas-Jones started his career at Ole Miss after being a highly touted recruit before transferring to South Alabama to be closer to home. Thomas-Jones could help Pittsburgh fix its run-blocking woes by infusing a reliable fullback. Smith will love this player, and he could sneak onto the roster.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Aiden Williams, OL, Minnesota-Duluth

It's hard not to root for a hardworking player, and that's what the Steelers got by signing Aiden Williams. The undrafted free agent worked his way from a tight end to left tackle for Minnesota-Duluth. Most NFL Draft experts believe he will play along the interior at the next level, but his position flexibility is what the Steelers should use to their advantage. He is flying under the radar.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: J.J. Galbreath, TE, South Dakota

One headlining name for Pittsburgh's undrafted free agency class is J.J. Galbreath. He comes from a lower division of college football, but he might be a fantastic weapon to install. Smith demands that his players at the position become reliable blockers, so that could dip this rookie's chances at a roster spot. He is a dynamic weapon as a receiver, which could be enough to earn the job.

2025 Steelers undrafted free agent: Sebastian Castro, S, Iowa

The Steelers' issues at the slot cornerback position continue. They added some pieces this offseason, and Sebastian Castro is one of them. He played different roles at Iowa, which could help his chances of making the team out of training camp. Castro's testing shows he is slow but made routine plays at Iowa.

His position versatility, coupled with his potential role as a special-teams player, gives him a fantastic shot at making the roster.
