While it was very popular to hate on Matt Canada throughout the year and call for him to be fired, many Steelers fans want an overhaul at both offensive and defensive coordinator, and it's hard to blame them.

The Steelers' defense is one of the highest-paid defensive units in football, and has some serious star power on it, with the likes of TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cameron Heyward, and Alex Highsmith, all being amongst the best in the league at their respective positions. However, despite that this unit has been gashed by backup quarterbacks and bottom-of-the-league teams down the stretch, resulting in the Steelers tumbling out of the playoffs.

While a lot of this can be attributed to injuries and some holes on the roster, the team has too much high-end talent on this side of the ball to be getting carved up by Bailey Zappe, Gardner Minshew, Jake Browning, and the lowly Cardinals offense. This is inexcusable, yet it is a reality that the Steelers are facing.

If the Steelers are to return to the postseason next year they will have to improve their offensive line, their cornerback depth, and get better quarterback play. But before any of that happens they must make some changes at offensive and defensive coordinator and must cut ties with both Pressley Harvin and Levi Wallace.
