1. Kendrick Green

The Pittsburgh Steelers are running out of ways to get creative with Kendrick Green. While Mike Tomlin would love nothing more than to somehow salvage this former botched third-round pick, that may not be possible at this point.

During training camp practices, the Steelers have been experimenting with Green as a fullback and H-back. However, this is something they chose not to deploy during the preseason opener against the Buccaneers. Instead, Green came into the game as the second-team center behind Mason Cole, and the results were abysmal.

Green was obliterated on running downs and was often tossed to the side like a ragdoll. This ultimately resulted in a 39.5 overall grade for his performance against the Bucs, per Pro Football Focus. For a player in his position, this was a showing he could not afford.

With Nate Herbig's ability to act as a backup center and with rookie Spencer Anderson now earning center snaps, Kendrick Green is on his last legs when it comes to making this Steelers roster in 2023. He needs to blow Pat Meyer, Mike Tomlin, and the entire Pittsburgh coaching staff out of the water with a remarkable performance against the Buffalo Bills.
