4. Damontae Kazee

Damontae Kazee is entering his second season with the Steelers, but with a much bigger role on tap.
Last year, after joining the Steelers from the Cowboys, Kazee worked in a platoon role. He was a primary backup to Terrell Edmunds at strong safety and also saw the field in some dime sets. His role this year will be much bigger.

With Edmunds on the other side of the state now, Kazee will be the team's starting strong safety. Edmunds worked very well with Minkah Fitzpatrick and the two had a good rapport. It will be up to Kazee to fill that role in the secondary.

Kazee will be one of many new starters in a revamped Steeler's secondary. If he plays well, it will be his position to lose going forward. A subpar season could lead to Keanu Neal getting more snaps or a big change next offseason. The Steelers and Kazee need him to perform well this season.
