AFC North WR rankings: Where does Steelers Diontae Johnson land?

1. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
Coming in at the top spot on this list is Bengals phenom, Ja'Marr Chase. Despite only completing two seasons in the NFL, Chase has already entered top 5 receiver discussions because of his explosiveness and connection with Joe Burrow.
In his rookie season in 2021, Chase won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after putting up 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was also a big reason the Bengals made a run to the Super Bowl that season. Last season, Chase avoided a sophomore slump, despite dealing with injuries. In only 12 games, Chase 87 passes for 1,046 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was on pace to surpass his rookie season stats if he had played the entire season.
Chase is the complete package at wide receiver. He's a great route runner with great yards after the catch ability. There've been countless times when Chase has turned a screen pass into a 50-yard gain because of his skill in the open field. His connection with his college quarterback is second to none in this league and reminds me a lot of Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown.
Assuming health, Chase should be able to put up similar numbers to his rookie season and continue to cement himself as a top receive in this league. It was an easy choice putting him at number one on this list.
