Things got ugly for the Steelers during the first loss of the season. Week 4 was not kind to Pittsburgh, but that was mostly due to their team shooting themselves in the foot. They looked sloppy on the field and injuries and penalties only inflated their problems.

Pittsburgh could use some help on both sides of the ball heading into Week 5. They will have to wait for reinforcements when the offseason rolls around, but it is always good to look ahead and prepare for the future.

There are still plenty of games to be played, but the Steelers sit high in the draft order for now. Things are fluctuating every week, but Pittsburgh would be a top playoff team coming out of the AFC despite them dropping the game this past Sunday against the Colts.

This mock draft provides a spark to the Steeler's recent struggles. They truly wish they could immediately infuse this talent onto their roster.

Steelers mock draft round 1: Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas

Bond. 1. 467. . . Wide receiver. . Isaiah Bond. Isaiah Bond. player

Justin Fields has yet to prove he is the problem on offense. His offensive line is falling apart with each passing week and George Pickens remains the only constant receiver for Fields to throw to. I'm going with Isaiah Bond here out of Texas. He might not be a big target physically, but he has the speed to burn. Bond is someone who could take the top off of defenses for the Steelers.

Steelers mock draft round 2: Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State

Gordon II. player. Running back. . 2. 856. . . Ollie Gordon II. Ollie Gordon II

Pittsburgh needs a running back, and I have them going with Ollie Gordon II out of Oklahoma State. He is coming off a monster year that saw him total over 2,000 yards of offense and 22 touchdowns. Gordon isn't off to as hot of a start this season, but his production is undeniable. Gordon would be a great fit in the Steelers offense and someone who should provide a spark next to Fields.

Steelers mock draft round 3: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Tight end. Tyler Warren. player. 491. Warren. . Tyler Warren. 3. .

This is a luxury pick here as the Steelers don't need a tight end, but Arthur Smith can never have too many, so why not? Tyler Warren is the pick here and he remains on the rise among the mock draft community. He has been off to an explosive start to the season and has shown versatility along the way. Warren can catch, block, and run plays out of the wildcat formation. He's a great team-first player.

Steelers mock draft round 4: Daylen Everette, CB, Georgia

Everette. player. . 527. Cornerback . Daylen Everette. . . Daylen Everette. 4

With Donte Jackson scheduled to become a free agent after the season, it only makes sense to draft a cornerback. Daylen Everette is the choice here out of Georgia. He provides great size and potential to the Steelers cornerback group. Everette is a young player, so he will need more development at the next level. Good value at this point in the mock draft to push for a starting spot but he will provide depth as his worst outcome.

Steelers mock draft round 5: Riley Leonard, QB, Notre Dame

player. Riley Leonard. . 443. Leonard. Quarterback. . Riley Leonard. 5.

Justin Fields is playing his way into the starting quarterback conversation for now and in the future for the Steelers. But regardless of what happens, Pittsburgh needs another quarterback to compete next season. Drafting Riley Leonard here is good value. Notre Dame is starting to bounce back after a bad start. Leonard has great size and experience at the quarterback position that could develop with time.

Steelers mock draft round 5: Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas

. Safety. Andrew Mukuba. Andrew Mukuba. Mukuba. 5. player. 467. .

There could be another rebuild for the Steelers at the safety spot this offseason with plenty of pending free agents on the team. Andrew Mukuba is someone who should be able to join the Steelers as a rookie and contribute. He has a wealth of starting experience at Clemson before transferring to Texas this year. Mukuba has shown versatility throughout his college career, which Pittsburgh will love.

Steelers mock draft round 7: Deion Burks, WR, Oklahoma

. . Deion Burks. Deion Burks. 464. Burks. . 7. player. Wide receiver

Probably a good idea for the Steelers to add two receivers in the upcoming draft. They added Bond in round one, and now they go with Deion Burks as their one of their seventh-round picks. He started off his career at Purdue for three years, with his last as a starter. Burks transferred to Oklahoma and is on track to have a breakout season. This would be a great pick for the Steelers at this stage of the draft.

Steelers mock draft round 7: Anthony Belton, OT, North Carolina State

. Anthony Belton. . Offensive tackle. 7. player. 442. . Anthony Belton. Belton

Unless something drastically changes, expect Dan Moore Jr. to leave the Steelers in free agency this offseason. That means Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu will likely be the starting tackles. Pittsburgh needs options behind them and taking Anthony Belton here helps with internal competition. Belton rounds out this mock draft and provides a lot of starting experience at left tackle.
