The Pittsburgh Steelers are making their final preparations for the 2025 NFL Draft. With each of their top-30 pre-draft visits accounted for, we get a great sense of which players Mike Tomlin, Omar Khan, and the front office will have the most interest in selecting when they are on the clock.

Over the past three years, I've created a Steelers Pre-Draft Interest Tracker—a graphic that keeps tabs on all of their reported formal NFL Combine meetings, Pro Day visits, dinner meetings, and top-30 pre-draft visits.

I use a tally system to track which players they have met with the most and have expressed the most interest in during the pre-draft process. Players who receive a Pro Day dinner meeting with Pittsburgh's brass (at least Tomlin/Khan) receive two 'X's, while players who simply had Tomlin/Khan attend their Pro Day receive one 'X'.

Because pre-draft visits proved to be the best predictor of who the Steelers would ultimately take in the 2024 NFL Draft, I've assigned two 'X's to each player who received a 30-visit. Meanwhile, players who received a formal Combine meeting, which holds the least weight with the organization, received one X.

Here's a look at the top prospects the Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in, based on the Steelers' 2025 Pre-Draft Interest Tracker:

Surprisingly, the player who checked the most 'visit' boxes for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year was Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson. Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan had a reported Pro Day dinner meeting with Henderson, and Pittsburgh's decision-makers met with him formally at the NFL Combine. Henderson also became the last reported top-30 visit.

This puts Henderson on the map to be in contention for the 21st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, regardless of whether we agree with the philosophy of taking him this early.

The other first-round prospects who check the most boxes include Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Oregon Ducks defensive tackle Derrick Harmon, Texas Longhorns wide receiver Matthew Golden, and North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton. Some of these names will be off the board when the Steelers are on the clock with the 21st overall pick, but these are the players they could have their eyes on with that selection.

There are also a few long shots in contention, based on the interest tracker, like South Carolina safety Nick Emmamwori, Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, and Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Stewart. Even taking Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe isn't out of the question after Pittsburgh's dinner meeting with the polarizing prospect.

The Steelers don't have a second-round pick this year, but some of the Day 2 candidates they could be targeting include running backs like DJ Giddens, Dylan Sampson, Bhayshul Tuten, RJ Harvey, and Ollie Gordon, as well as quarterbacks like Will Howard, Quinn Ewers, Tyler Shough, and Kyle McCord.

Last year, Pittsburgh's top five selections were on my Steelers 2024 Pre-Draft Interest Tracker, and we know that this organization likes to meet with players before feeling comfortable enough to take them in the NFL Draft. Use this graphic as a guide to predict who the Steelers could be interested in selecting when they're on the clock in each round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
